Craftsman Geng Baoguo puts colors on a lacquerware at his workshop in Pingyao, north China's Shanxi Province, on Oct. 16, 2018. Lacquerwares are objects decoratively covered with lacquer. The varnished lacquerwares in Pingyao are made of natural lacquer and varnished using a special hand technique. After several steps of handicraft techniques, they are decorated with various colorful patterns and installed with ornaments. The surface of finished lacquerwares are smooth and lustrous.
